It’s all about the beat, the beat, the beat, anyone once noticed rock and roll. Others say it all starts with a song.
The truth of these statements will likely be revealed on Monday when the Songwriters Hall of Fame celebrates this year’s Oscars nominated songwriters with a virtual all-star event, “A Conversation With 2023 Oscar-nominated Songwriters for Best Original Song,” hosted on February 13 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.
The virtual event is free to the public, advance registration via Eventbrite is required. The film will also be available for viewing on the Songwriters Hall of Fame website songhall.org for a limited time beginning Monday.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame’s 7th annual program features distinguished songwriters nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category. The event will be co-hosted and hosted by Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Nile Rodgers, who is currently president of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Paul Williams, a 1977 Academy Award winner for Best Original Song for “Evergreen.”
Panel Songwriters: Chandrabose, co-writer of “Naatu Naatu”. RRR; Ludwig Goransson, co-author of “Lift Me Up”. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; Ryan Lott and David Byrne, co-authors of This is a Life. Everything everywhere at once; and SHOF contestant Diane Warren, author of “Applause.” Tell it like a woman.
