Married at first sight, bad boy Harrison Boon joined the police force before becoming a reality TV star, fearing for his safety.

Boon (33) made his television debut on Tuesday night when he married 28-year-old Bronte Schofield on the popular Channel Nine show.

The Sydney-based builder and part-time strip dancer opened up about his life in the first episode of season 10.

He lamented that he only gets to see his son every second weekend and said his days as a promiscuous bachelor are over.

But now it can be revealed that police took out a restraining order against a woman in 2021 to protect him.

Boon was living and working in Merimbula on the NSW south coast when police issued a warrant for the arrest of a 30-year-old woman.

She was suspended, according to records filed with Bega’s local court to threaten, stalk, harass or intimidate or destroy his property for a period of two years.

She was also not allowed to go within 50 meters of Boon’s residence or workplace.

Records also showed that police issued a second restraining order against her the same day on behalf of another man.

The woman was charged with destroying or damaging property valued at less than $2,000.

She pleaded guilty and was sentenced without conviction to two years’ probation.

Boon declined to comment when approached by Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.

“Sometimes I’ll start a group chat with my Tinder matches and watch them fight Hunger Games style until there’s only one left and then I’ll take them out on a date,” he captioned a photo of himself in one national park labels.

“I’m pretty sure no one reads those captions anymore, so I’m just using them as a safe place for now.”

Boon’s wedding to Ms Schofield on Tuesday night didn’t go quite as planned after the bride’s friend Jessica Tomlinson told her the groom had a “secret friend” waiting for him from the show.

The newlyweds slept their first night in separate beds before they were diligent Confrontation in the living room of their hotel suite.

“I think parts of me followed me there before that experience. And I had some explaining to do,” he told producers.

“It’s just a shame it came out so negatively on my wedding day, because even though I was seeing someone before I came here … I made it perfectly clear to that person that it was over.”

Ms Schofield explained that her “greatest fear” was that she would find love in the experiment, only for him to “replace” her with another woman waiting in the wings.

However, he assured her that his courtship was over and that he was “serious” about their experimental marriage.
