She appeared on The One Show on Friday to talk about the release of her single and how she’s being more “honest” in her music.

In the music video for the highly anticipated song, Rita is seen getting ready for a fictional wedding while wearing a beautiful white dress and veil.
However, Rita dismissed all claims that the bridal gown was her real wedding dress after finally confirming that she had tied the knot with Taika Waititi.
Asked about presenter Alex Jones’ dress, Rita said: “No, that’s not what I wore!
“It was fun to do because it was my version of my inspirations – Edward Scissorhands, Heathers, Bridezilla – I’ve always wanted to play that character.”

It came after Rita finally confirmed she had tied the knot with beau Taika on Friday, describing the nuptials as “perfect” and a “special day”.

Rita said, “Yes [I am married]. I’m officially off the market folks. I decided to keep it more private and to myself, but with my new video I’m playing up what could have been.”

Rita and Taika began dating in March 2021 before going public with their romance in August.

The British singer and filmmaker is said to be planning an upcoming low-key ceremony abroad before partying with her fellow A-listers at a huge London party.
