American singer Katy Perry spoke about her biggest regret in life. A few years ago, the staff of her label Capitol Records offered the star to collaborate with aspiring recording artist Billy Eilish. Perry’s band was impressed with the Ocean Eyes song.
“A co-worker once sent me an email saying, ‘Hi, look at this new artist, I’d really like us to work with her,'” the singer recalled.
But the most eminent artist did not like the composition. She replied that it was a very boring song and refused to collaborate with the young star. In just a few months, this composition became a hit and was heard on all radio stations in dozens of countries. And Eilish herself has won several awards, including the Golden Globe and the Grammy. Now Katy Perry regrets refusing to cooperate with the teen:
“It was a big mistake,” Perry shared in an interview with NME.
