Carrie Bickmore was reportedly “down to the bone” when several of her high-profile friends publicly supported her ex-partner Chris Walker following their recent split.
Earlier this month, a photo emerged of TV producer Walker at the pub with Bickmore’s former The Project co-host Peter Helliar, ABC host Leigh Sales, comedian Anthony Lehmann and cricketer Adam Gilchrist.
An insider told New Idea that Bickmore, 42, was stunned when she saw the photo of her industry peers gathered around Walker so soon after the former couple announced their split.

Unfortunately, in the case of Chris and Carrie, the fact that they all work in the same industry means that they inevitably have friends who go one way or another. But of course Carrie is hurt,” the source claimed.
However, Bickmore’s old best friend Fifi Box still supported her.
“Fifi is really good for Carrie. She is no-nonsense and encourages them to take it one day at a time and take care of themselves for the sake of the kids,” the insider said.

Sales and Helliar shared the photo on Instagram on Jan. 21, and both had kind words for Walker, executive producer of ABC’s The Weekly, starring Charlie Pickering.
“If you like Hard Chat and The Weekly this guy @chriswalkertv is the Maestro. Legend and a great friend,” Sales captioned a photo of himself with Walker.
“Enjoy being an honorary member of the Arvo with these top guys,” she added next to a photo of herself, Walker and Helliar.

Bickmore announced the couple’s separation two weeks ago, saying they were focused on raising their three children together. She was in a relationship with Walker for 11 years.
“It is with great sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram.
“While this is a difficult time, we are focused on raising, loving and supporting our three children, Ollie, Evie and Addie, with everything we have.
“You are fine. We will not comment further.’

Bickmore and Walker’s love story won the hearts of Australians.
They met as colleagues on The Project – she was a host and he was a producer – and they started dating in late 2012, two years after she married her husband Greg Lange, the father of their eldest child Ollie, 15. lost to brain cancer.
Despite his terminal diagnosis, Bickmore married Langue in 2005 when she was just 25.
After Langue died in 2010 aged 35, a widow Bickmore founded the charity Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer in his memory.
