Mel B says new show is ’empowering’ after abusive relationship: ‘I got my power back’



brown melania (Also known as honey b or “Scary Spice”) talked about how his new show Special forces – the toughest test in the world it was therapeutic for her after her alleged abusive relationship with her ex-husband during an interview in Intuition Friday 20 January. Spice Girl has revealed that doing the show has been a big part of the “healing process” for her.

At the beginning of the interview, Mel explained that even though she had to carry out difficult and often overwhelming tasks, she felt great. “It was all terrifying, but very mentally and physically, very good. I came away from the show feeling so empowered that I could conquer anything,” she said. Intuition co-hosts.

Before opening up on how Special forces helped her, Mel detailed how their relationship made her feel. Mel’s ex-husband also denied the abuse allegations. “I had to do this show because, unfortunately, I’ve been in a very abusive marriage of 10 years and I’m about five years away. So when you go through something like this, you walk away feeling so broken and worthless. You are filled with shame and guilt,” she said.

Mel also explained that it was very important to talk about abusive relationships because so many people experience it. He spoke of the importance of “staying[ing] strong together and[ing] head held high” to try to help more people.

Mel said that by going through the same ordeal as Special Forces, she was able to deal with many of the difficult aspects of her relationship recovery. “For me, doing the show, I just wanted to see how far I’ve come in my healing process, because it’s going to be a long journey. I will always have PTSD, flashbacks. So why do I choose to put myself in a show where you scream? You are hooded. You are strangled. You have to go to battle. It was all that was a trigger for me,” she said. “This is my choice to do the show. I want to do it myself. I want to tap into that inner strength that I thought I had even before my abuse happened. and see if that person is still there.

The Spice Girls singer went on to say that it really helped her feel empowered again. “Only you can stop the abuse from repeating itself in your head after you’re gone,” she said. “It was really important to me to take my power back, to take my power back and to talk about it in lovely shows like this.”
