“Not for children’s ears”: how Princess Diana made William blush

The eldest son of the late Lady Di shared why he was ashamed of her in his youth.

Prince William, following his younger brother’s lead, decided to release a memoir. Fragments from the book of the heir apparent have recently appeared in the press. They were published by Robert Jobson, an expert on royal family history.

Judging by Prince William’s memoirs, there was a significant difference in upbringing between him and Prince Harry. While he was being prepared for the king’s future mission, the younger brother got away with everything. Princess Diana indulged in many of little Harry’s antics, which made William blush.

“Once we drove a car with a nanny, mother and a bodyguard. Mother began to tell a vulgar joke, and one of the employees tried to stop her: there are details that are not made for children’s ears. But this did not stop her and even made her angry, she believed that we could already listen to everything. And when we arrived at school, Harry elatedly ran to his classmates and shared a fresh anecdote from his mother in all the juicy details. It’s a good thing the teacher stopped him in the end,” Jobson is quoted as saying by the heir apparent’s memories in the DailyMail.
