Spy x family leads the field with 19 nominations for Crunchyroll’s seventh annual Anime Awards, held in March. Ranking of kings Next comes on 16 spread over two seasons, followed by Cyberpunk: Edgerunner with 13 nominations announced today. See the full list below.
All three series are competing for the great honor of Anime of the Year. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc and Lycoris kickback. Everyone except Lycoris kickback is also with for best animation Akebi’s sailor’s uniform.
A few blockbusters from 2022 – the #1 debut Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and no. 2-sheet One Piece Film Red – compete for best picture vs Bubble, Jujitsu Kaisen 0, The Deer King and Inu-Oh, nominated for Best Indie Film at the Annie Awards.
The awards, which honor anime creators, musicians and acts in streaming and theater, will be presented on March 4 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo. Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira will host the ceremony and Sony Group Corporation CEO Kenichiro Yoshida will open the program, which will be streamed live.

It is an honor and a privilege to celebrate with the creators, innovators and fans of anime.”
Online fan voting is available in over 200 countries until 5pm PT on January 25th.
