Encounter! They were one of the biggest pop phenomena of the 90s… And now The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the band S Club 7 are reforming 25 years after they first rose to fame (pictured in 1999).
All seven members of the band agreed to the comeback, which was led by music mogul Simon Fuller – the man who put them together in 1998 after the Spice Girls, his former band, fired him as their manager.
He personally has each of the seven stars – Rachel Stevens, 44, Tina Barrett, 46, Jon Lee, 40, Paul Cattermole, 45, Bradley McIntosh, 41, Jo O’Meara, 43, and Hannah Spearritt, 40. called to determine this. to propose the project and made it clear that it would only work if everyone agreed.
Their return is expected to be announced with great fanfare in the coming weeks, where they will reveal the details of the reunion.
They are planning a major tour for the summer, although they are debating whether it will have to be postponed until Christmas due to O’Meara’s back injury, which required four operations to remove part of a hernia.

A source close to the project said: “Simon Fuller saw the value in it, S Club 7 had a huge following of all ages that he wanted to see out of nostalgia.
“Their songs were so upbeat and fun, it’s a huge commercial opportunity for all of them, especially Simon.”
It is clear that Fuller came into the picture after he was unable to perform at a 25th anniversary party with the Spice Girls.

Back together: All seven of the band agreed to the comeback, which was led by music mogul Simon Fuller – the man who brought them together in 1998 after the Spice Girls, his previous band, fired him as their manager.
S Club 7’s comeback wasn’t without its problems — Fuller and the other group members spent months tracking down Lee, who had lost touch with everyone and lived a quiet life off the network, people close to him said.
Fuller formed S Club 7 after he was fired from the Spice Girls over “creative differences” following an alleged affair with bandmate Emma Bunton – which both denied.
They made their mark on the BBC show Miami 7 and a year later in 1999 their debut hit Bring It All Back reached number one. They enjoyed three more and cracked America with their hit song “Never Had A Dream Come True.”
However, Cattermole left the group in 2002. A year later, they decided to disband the group, and Fuller started a follow-up project, S Club Juniors. Stevens enjoyed a solo career, finishing as runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
