Dolly Parton publicly heartbroken her girlfriend Leslie Jordan during a guest appearance on his sitcom Call Me Kat on Thursday night.
The 76-year-old country legend and occasional actress did not attend, but instead recorded a message addressed to the late comedian, which led to a series of clips showcasing some of his best comedy series moments.
Jordan tragically died in October at the age of 67 when his car crashed into a building following a medical emergency that occurred while he was driving.
Parton opened her segment by singing a verse from the song Where The Soul Never Dies, which she recorded with Jordan for his 2021 album Company’s Comin’, which showcased his forays into country music.
Farewell: Dolly Parton, 76, appeared on Call Me Kat on Thursday to pay tribute to her late boyfriend Leslie Jordan, who died aged 67 in October after crashing his car following a medical emergency.
Dolly wore a black suit with white accents on the lapels and beaded cuffs, and sat on a white chair next to a vase of flowers.
Instead of talking about Jordan, she directed her comments directly to the late Will & Grace actor.
“I know people usually talk at a memorial as for somebody. Well I will speak to youParton says to the camera. Because there’s that place on the other side, and I’m sure I’ll see you there, bro. You left many people here with many precious, precious memories. Everyone loved you, but I doubt if many of them loved you more than I did.”
The Jolene singer made it clear that she thinks Jordan would want his friends and fans to enjoy his life rather than be overwhelmed with grief over his death.

“I want you to know that we all love you, we all miss you, and I bet you’re laughing at all of us sad and sad. And I know that’s the last thing you want us to do,” she said. “You made us happy when you were here and we’re glad you’re at peace. I just want you to know that I’ll always love you. Goodbye, my dear Leslie.”
In closing, she sang “I will always love you” to the tune of her legendary song of the same name.
Earlier days after his death, she honored her boyfriend with a social media post.
“Well, I am as hurt and shocked as if I had lost a family member,” she wrote. “Leslie and I had a special bond, I think the world felt they had a special bond with him. I know people always say, “Oh, they’ll be missed,” but in this case, that couldn’t be more true. He will be missed by all who knew him personally and all who were entertained by him. Rest in peace little brother.’

In Call Me Kat, Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory plays a woman who uses her parents’ money to pay for her wedding and opens a cat cafe instead.
Jordan was a main actor and acted as the cafe’s head baker.
Thursday’s episode was titled Call Me Philliam after his character Phil, and the rest of the episode served as a tribute to him.
The series suspended production for two weeks after Jordan’s death, both to mourn his death and to rewrite the next episode in his honor.
In addition to Parton’s performance, Jordan’s girlfriend, Vicki Lawrence, had a cameo as his much-talked-about but never-before-seen mother, Lurlene Crumpler.
“We’re still grieving,” Bialik told Entertainment Weekly earlier this week before the episode aired. She added the episode “will honor and honor him in a way that we hope is respectful.”
