French Montana broke his silence after 10 people were wounded in a shooting outside a Miami Gardens restaurant Thursday.

The 38-year-old musician took to Twitter on Friday, where he sent “thoughts and prayers” to those injured in the shooting – believed to include Rob49 and a bodyguard.

Filming reportedly took place during a music video shoot for Montana and Rob49, but Montana clarified that it was during a celebratory event for him Coke Boys 6 Newly Released Mixtape.

He wrote: “I was in Miami last night celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape with friends at a local restaurant.

“Unfortunately we were in the wrong place at the wrong time in an incident that injured people. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families at this time

Miami Police and Fire responded to reports of a shooting at The Licking Restaurant just before 8:00 PM Thursday.

Several hours later, the building remained cordoned off with crime scene tape as ambulances and police vehicles continued to storm 27th Avenue in Miami Gardens.

Multiple social media posts indicate that Rob49, 24, a popular New Orleans rapper, and one of French Montana’s bodyguards were two of the victims who were shot. The police have not yet confirmed these reports.

Detective Diana Gorgue of the Miami Gardens Police Department told local outlet WSVN that law enforcement is “still working.” [the scene].’

Paramedics reportedly took four victims to Ryder Trauma Center.

A first responder said over the radio, “We had 10 in total [victims]. Four brought themselves to the hospital and we transported and treated six.”

At least one of the victims was in critical condition Thursday night. Montana’s bodyguard was fighting for his life after the mass shooting, according to multiple social media posts.

News crews also caught rescue teams taking two victims to the hospital on stretchers.

Witness Ced Mogul said rapper French Montana – who is known, among other things, for his brief relationship with Khloe Kardashian – shot a music video in front of the soul food restaurant The Licking, which is owned by DJ Khaled.

Eyewitness Ced Mogul says a man in the crowd had his keys and wallet stolen, after which the shooting broke out.

The witness said the transition from confusion to multiple gunshots was “very quick”.

“There were at least 13, 14, 15 shots. It sounded like an assault rifle,” he said, adding that he fled.

Hours after the shooting, it remained unclear whether a person fired into the crowd or whether it was a shooting. It was also unclear whether anyone had been arrested.

A second video revolves around the scene of the shooting before the ambulances arrived.

Various bodies can be seen in various near motionless states in different parts of the parking lot.

TMZ reported that security forces removed him from the area without incident.

CBS reported that law enforcement officials will review videos and surveillance tapes from the area posted on social media as they investigate the incident.
