Former Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy suffered horrific bruises after his car crash on Boxing Day.
The Celebs Go Dating star, 41, who is in a new relationship with Love Islander Laura Anderson, 33, shared a photo of his injuries on Friday after escaping serious injury following the crash.
Gary, who admitted he was “lucky to be alive”, ended up in Glasgow Royal Infirmary after spending his first Christmas with Laura and suffering a car crash in her native Scotland.

Father-of-four Gary posted a photo on Instagram showing a dark purple bruise and captioned it “so beautiful” with a cooing emoji.
The ex-Footballers’ Wives actor, who met Laura while filming E4 series Celebs Go Dating earlier this year, previously shared a photo of his car after the crash, which was beyond repair.
Laura was revived in such a way that Gary managed to avoid serious, long-term injury and later thanked Saint Joseph for taking care of him.
She explained that the couple “are not religious”, but she believes a card depicting the saint, who was married to Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, played a role in surviving the crash.

Laura dedicated a post to Gary with pictures of the couple on Christmas Day snuggling on the couch next to their dog Buddy and said: “I love you darling and your strength does not go unnoticed.”
On Instagram she wrote: “Christmas time. It’s always a little sad not being able to spend the holidays with everyone, but here’s our first Christmas together.
“Gary Lucy I love you my dear and your strength does not go unnoticed.”
Sharing a laminated card with a photo of Saint Joseph, Laura added to her Instagram stories: “We are not religious but thank you Saint Joseph for saving my love.
“Gary’s grandmother gave it to him. It has words about security and protection on the other side. I took it out of his pocket yesterday morning just before his accident.’
She asked her 1.4 million followers: “Is there anything sentimental about you that is protective?”
Lovers: She dedicated a post to Gary with pictures of the couple on Christmas Day together on the couch next to their dog Buddy and said: “I love you sweetie and your strength does not go unnoticed.”
Gary spent Christmas Day with his new girlfriend Laura in their hometown of Glasgow before he was involved in an accident with his car.
The soap star ended up in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Boxing Day, but luckily was able to walk the same day after only suffering a knee injury.
He spent Christmas without his children and ex-wife Natasha Gray, from whom he divorced in 2018 after four years of marriage.
Gary met Laura while filming the E4 show Celebs Go Dating and the pair quickly fell in love.
Laura starred in the series following her divorce from Another Level singer Dane Bowers, whom she had dated for five years.

Gary, who is from Essex, told MailOnline that he hopes Laura will move in with him and that he can introduce her to his mother soon.
He said: ‘I want to bring her back to me, have dinner with my mother because her approval is important and then relax.’ I want to take her to Essex. I think she’s an Essex girl at heart.”
The actor predicted that his children will enjoy getting to know Laura as she is both a girl and a boy.
Gary added: “I know they get along with her because she’s fun … she’s just cool.” She is a girl child and a tomboy at the same time.
