Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz celebrated the first anniversary of their vow renewal ceremony on Wednesday, August 5, by posting separate messages expressing their feelings on Instagram. The couple considers the August vow renewal as their official anniversary.
Beckham posted two photographs with Peltz and called her his princess. He wrote that he could not describe how much he loved her, describing her as his best friend and stating that he loved her more than his own life. He added that he felt lucky to call her his wife and promised to always protect her.
Peltz shared her own post on Instagram, wishing Beckham a happy anniversary and thanking him for being the most wonderful husband she could dream of. She wrote that he makes life beautiful.
Vow Renewal and Wedding Details
Beckham and Peltz married in April 2022 at a Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in front of 500 guests. They later renewed their vows in August 2025 without inviting Beckham's family.
The second ceremony followed statements by Beckham that his mother, Victoria Beckham, had interfered with the couple's wedding and overshadowed their first dance.
Claims of Family Friction
In a social media post in January, Beckham described experiencing agony and embarrassment at the April 2022 wedding. He claimed his mother called him evil during wedding preparations because he and Peltz chose to sit with his grandmother Sandra and Peltz's grandmother, who both lacked husbands at the time. He noted their parents were given separate tables equally close to the couple.
Beckham stated that family members told Peltz the night before the wedding that she was not their blood and not family. He also claimed singer Marc Anthony called him to the stage for a scheduled romantic dance with his wife, but his mother was waiting on stage to dance with him instead in front of all 500 guests.
Beckham wrote that the incident left him feeling uncomfortable. He stated the couple renewed their vows to create wedding day memories associated with joy and happiness rather than stress and embarrassment.
