What is vabbing, this unusual scenting technique that makes kids fall like flies?

TikTok’s latest trend is to replace its usual scent with a few drops of vaginal secretions. But for what purpose? We tell you all about vabbing.

In recent weeks, an unusual scenting technique has been buzzing on TikTok: the vape. This trend, whose name derives from the contraction of the English words ” vagina ” And ” dabbing (which means “vagina” and “dab” in French, ed), consists in exchanging your usual eau de toilette or eau de Cologne for a completely new juice and guaranteed 100% of natural origin: your vaginal secretions. But why ? Shut your mouth, we’ll explain.

Can vaginal secretions help find a soul mate?

Bye bye N ° 5, La Vie Est Belle and J’adore, the latest trendy fragrance is not in a bottle but in the bottom of your panties! The tiktokeuse Jewlieah is one of the first to have popularized this technique on the Chinese social network, in a video that now has more than four million views.

After applying a few drops of vaginal secretions behind the ear and on the wrist, the young woman was surprised to receive a lot of attention from the male sex. She then repeated the experiment several times, always with success thanks, according to her, to the pheromones that the body fluids would release. From there to say that vabbing would be the answer (of an hour or of a lifetime) to the celibacy of a large number of women, there is only one step.

But what does science say? In an interview with Allure magazine, dermatologist Rosemarie Ingleton is more reserved:

There is little scientific evidence to support that pheromones work for human attraction as they do for some animals, and vabbing as a practice has not really been studied.

The same story to Euronews, to which Erik Janssen, researcher in the neuroscience department of the Catholic University of Leuven recently confided:

Personally, I can’t find a basis for giving vabbing any kind of scientific approval.

Whether this technique is scientifically proven or not, it is perfectly harmless (although not always odorless), so if you want to test the supposed magical powers of vabbing, remember to wash your hands before and after the blood collection. And, of course, if you have a known STI, keep your hands in your pockets instead.
