In the past five years, hardware cosmetology has even surpassed injection cosmetology in popularity. Demand was driven by the availability of a range of techniques and clients with better results. But, as often happens, in addition to popularity, the number of unscrupulous cosmetologists and fake devices has grown. So, for example, in some salons an expensive SMAS lifting procedure is recommended for only 10-20 thousand rubles. At best this will result in wasted time and lack of results, and at worst, facial burn, scarring and scarring. Therefore, do not rush to rejoice at the low price of the procedure until you are sure of all the items on our list. The beautician tells about the most common reasons for the cheapness of services.

Device not certified

Any cosmetic device must have a package of documents that allows its use. This is how it works: First, a sales company in Russia must provide proof that the technical device is safe and only then can it be sold. Before that, the device is studied on biological tissues to check its rejuvenating or healing effect. The entire certification process can take one to three years. Also, the more technically complex the device, the more expensive the set of measures to establish the evidence base.

fake machine

The main thing to remember is that in cosmetology almost always price determines quality. Therefore, you may stumble upon a fake device while trying to save on the procedure. The production of such handicrafts is currently being actively established in China. And often it emulates the most popular devices. Therefore, a recognizable name is not yet a guarantee of quality.

Most beauty devices rely on thermal action, that is, they generate local or diffuse heat in the skin or subcutaneous structures. And when a technical device is not tested or has a minor defect, a burn, damage to nerve fibers, tissue deformation, or local damage to the lymphatic drainage and vasculature may occur. Therefore, in order to avoid fraud, always pay attention to the price of services, which is one of the main indicators.

Specialist without medical training

In serious cosmetology (which includes HIFU technologies, laser systems, radio wave fractional (RF) therapy), only doctors can work, not nurses or estheticians. The fact is that the risk of tissue damage is much higher than when working with techniques such as ultrasonic cleaning or microcurrents. Also, a person with a higher medical education is unlikely to risk his authority and work on “gray” devices.

Salon without medical license

Often, cosmetic equipment, positioned as high-quality and high-tech, cannot be found in a beauty salon without a medical license. To obtain the right to officially conduct medical cosmetology services, you need money, so licensed salons can certainly provide themselves and their customers with certified devices.

Therefore, the main thing to remember is that chasing low prices for cosmetic procedures will not lead to good. When looking at the price of a salon or clinic, count on the average cost of services in the market. For example, if the price of a SMAS facelift usually starts at 80,000, you shouldn’t rely on a promotional offer of 30k. One good indicator is the clinic’s website. It almost always includes information on the training of specialists, descriptions of devices and certificates confirming their safety. If you do not find what you need on the site, as an option, you can come to the salon in person and politely ask about everything that we said in the article.
