A few years ago, having glowing skin echoed oily skin that absolutely needed to be matte. Fortunately, the codes have changed. Today, everyone can do what they want and the skins are shiny like fresh donuts. But when you’ve bought mattifying makeup for years, what can you do with it now? The answer is very simple: if you want to get a luminous effect, just mix a pump of our foundation, our blush or even a small eyeshadow with a product that we have almost everything in our bathroom: our moisturizing serum.
Why a serum?
The serum is a active concentrate who penetrate the skin to hydrate it deeply for several hours. It is also for this reason that it is a relatively expensive product and of which it is a part pillars of the beauty routine. It is also an excellent element of specific care to address a particular problem such as lack of hydration, acne or skin sensitivity.
As it possesses these properties, it therefore becomes the ideal element to mix with our initially opaque beauty products to give them a brighter look. The Instagrammer @makaylamashelle, took the test by mixing a product from the Glow Recipe brand with her complexion makeup. In order to see the difference, she only applied the mixture to one part of her face and the result is impressive! Radiant and perfectly united, her complexion is as if she had used luminous products. A revolution when you don’t want to invest particularly in new cosmetics. Provided, of course, that the trick used has not already expired.

When to throw away your makeup?
Over time, beauty products are popular trick already used begin to deteriorate. The risk of continuing to use them? It contaminates her skin with the bacteria that would have developed in the formula. Liquid or powder, the observation regarding these products is the same. When you open a foundation and start using it, it can be safely applied to the skin for up to eighteen months. Powder textures (terre de soleil, eye shadows, etc.) and lipsticks can be kept for up to twenty-four months. For blushes this period is 12 months if the formula contains water and 24 months if the product is in compact form. Now you know.
