Makeup tips for a night wedding

The internet is full of makeup tutorials, you must have seen a lot of YouTube videos and don’t know where to start when applying makeup. If you are planning to do your own makeup for a night wedding, you need more than fun videos, pay attention to these tips so that your next makeup is according to the night, registers well in the photos and withstands the passing of the hours.

Evening weddings allow us to dare to wear an elegant makeup look in bright shades or strong colors. The makeup for a night wedding should be a little stronger and more pronounced, keep in mind that the lack of light reduces the intensity of the colors and everything looks duller and fainter. The night gives us the freedom to play with glitter and shimmer products, bold highlighters and eyeshadows in brown or black tones. At night too much is not too much!

Eyes:

Dare to wear smoky eyes in earth tones, this type of makeup emphasizes the look with the intensity needed for the night. Apply a cream shade as a base and then add a metallic or matte powder shade. With this you achieve that your eye makeup is sealed for the night and lasts for more hours.

The eyeliner will be your ally. Mark your lash line, top and bottom, with a liquid or pencil eyeliner, but make sure it’s waterproof. You will find that your look will have twice as much impact with a good outline, a bridal makeup deserves it.

eyebrows:

Don’t forget the eyebrows, they frame your face. Make your eyebrows longer with an eyebrow pomade, you can also use an eyebrow pencil or even a brown eyeshadow. But be careful, avoid warm browns (which look a bit reddish) instead opt for eyebrow products with cool undertones close to gray, which look more natural and don’t harden the look.

Skin:

A night wedding is danced, and when there is dancing there is sweat. You need a makeup base, preferably a matte or natural finish, that will stay intact on your skin for more hours. Make sure the tone of your base is the same as your skin, you will be exposed to the party lights and camera flashes, you don’t want to look whitish in the photos.

If you prefer a light product for the skin, you can use a bb cream, or dark circle concealer where you want to cover up blemishes or imperfections, and seal the skin well with mattifying or waterproof powders, to avoid excessive use. Avoid shine on the skin in unwanted areas, such as the forehead or nose.

Lips:

Matte lipstick + lip gloss: the perfect combination for evening bridal make-up. First, use a liner to define the edges of your lips so that you stay in makeup longer. Then fill in the lips with a matte lipstick.

Why kill? They are the ones that have the best hold on the lips as opposed to a satin that fades quickly with every sip you give your glass. If you don’t like the dry effect of this type of lipstick, then I recommend wearing a lip gloss and layering over it. Not only will it give you a glossy and juicy effect, but your lips will also feel more comfortable and hydrated.
