In our “Help Case” section we tell you what to do in case of various beauty incidents. How to fix a broken nail, revive dried mascara or salvage broken powder, eyeshadow or blush – we will answer one question in each material. The next problem of all office workers and those who like to browse social networks instead of getting a good night’s sleep is dark circles under the eyes. Why do they appear and how to remove them?
Why do blue circles appear under the eyes?
Before moving on to ways to fix the problem, you must understand the original source of the problem. There may be several reasons for the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.
— genetic trait. Dark circles under the eyes are often caused by genetic predisposition: thin skin, closely spaced blood vessels and a tendency to hyperpigmentation are inherited.
— Thinning of the fat layer. If a person loses a lot of weight, the network of veins and muscles under the eyes begin to show from beneath the skin, giving it a bluish (veins) or reddish (muscle fibers) color.
— Age-related changes. Over time, collagen and elastin synthesis in the skin decreases and it gradually loses its elasticity and becomes thinner. This also happens to the skin around the eyes. And the thinner the skin, the more blood vessels appear through it.
— Life style. Blue circles under the eyes can be the result of lack of sleep, chronic fatigue, dehydration and, in general, a lack of vitamins in the body.
— Improper care of the area around the eyes. The under eye area is one of the most sensitive areas of our face, so you need to be very careful about it. Do not abuse cosmetics with aggressive formulas and do not apply strong rubbing with cleansers.
For some, the next best step would be to see a therapist, for others, a beautician. But the solution to the problem won’t be immediate, so here are some ways to help minimize blue circles at home.
Step No. 1. Choose the right cosmetics

Products specially designed for this will help you get rid of dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. Often their formulas contain ingredients that improve microcirculation, increase skin elasticity and brighten it. For example, caffeine and cooling ingredients improve blood flow, while antioxidants (vitamin A, E, C and others) lighten pigmentation and stimulate natural collagen and elastin synthesis.
Step No. 2. Use express methods

Cream for the eye area is still a long game. Therefore, express methods should not be neglected. Patches, cooling masks and ice rollers – all this will help quickly remove swelling and make the skin under the eyes fresher and brighter, and give your eyes rest.
Step #3: Apply Makeup

The final touch is the appropriate make-up. If the bruises under the eyes are not very severe, applying the concealer correctly will be sufficient. This procedure should be done in a thin layer only on the bruise, not the entire under-eye area. Blend the product from the inner corner of the eye downwards, as if extending concealer. A light concealer will not help with color, so choose a product that is exactly the same color as your skin.
If dark circles under the eyes are visible to the naked eye, use concealer. It is usually sold in palettes containing several colors at once – mostly green and orange. The first is needed to smooth out redness, and the second to smooth out blue areas. First, apply the orange corrector to the blue area, press it into the skin with your fingertips, and then cover it with concealer. This will ensure a tighter overlap.
