How does boxing affect a woman’s figure?

On the eve of the beach season, many girls begin to check their gym memberships and look for new ways to have a toned body. We understand and do not judge.

We can easily say that one of the most trendy and effective ways to get in shape is martial arts.

You may object to us, because martial arts are all about toughness and cruelty in every aspect, it’s about a wide back, and it’s mostly men who do them. The author of this article, Rizvan Makhmudov, the director of personal training studios of female UFC champions and Brothers Boxing Club, who has been punching the punching bag wholeheartedly for three years, will answer you together that this is not so.

Read about why you should sign up for a trial workout tomorrow and what boxing really does for your soul and body.

There is a common belief that due to boxing, the arms and shoulders swell, while the lower part (very important for girls) remains weak. Is this true?

This is not true because although boxers throw punches, their success depends on their footwork. Yes definitely. During training, the load is applied evenly to the legs and the whole body, so the muscular corset is pumped as a whole. A very good cardio continues. Our training program is built in a balanced way: not to over-pump and at the same time keep your figure in good shape.

What about your back? Is it becoming broad and unfeminine?

Again a false statement. As I said before, the load of the muscle corset continues. Due to this distribution of power, the back becomes beautiful with a soft, feminine texture. And these are not just words, we have repeatedly confirmed the effectiveness of such a system in the club and then were convinced by the examples of our students.

Is it true that female boxers always get injured joints?

Of course it’s not true. Your hands can only be injured if you work without equipment, gloves, or bandages; This is not possible for us. I will say more, many girls are afraid that their manicure will be damaged due to boxing, so We even keep our nails tidy.

How do blows to the bullet and claws affect the elbow joint?

When you look at it globally, somehow you can pick up the phone the wrong way or sit down or stand up or do anything in daily life and pull something into your body. However, in sports, coaches definitely allow students to use the apparatus after seeing that the student has mastered the technique and is ready for this type of work. Then the risk of pulling the joint is minimal. But what threatens the athlete is that his hands shake a little after training. But on the contrary, this is a good thing.

Is it possible to lose weight by boxing?

Losing weight with boxing is not only possible, but also very simple. Imagine burning approximately 600-700 calories during a workout. Why so many? First a warm-up, then a good cardio load, finally complemented by a very cool and effective general physical training, during which the body is pumped. Compared to a normal load, this is huge, but also fun – so many calories are a minus, so many happiness hormones are a plus.

How often do you need to exercise for this result?

Honestly, once a week is objectively too little because the muscles will forget everything and muscle memory is very important in boxing. To put yourself in order, you need to consider the following scheme: two boxing workouts a week plus workouts in the fitness room. But, for example, in our club format you can add not only boxing to your training, but also functional exercises, including additional work for a specific muscle group. Then you can go your own way: three or four exercises, or even replace all other physical activities with them.

Which muscles are best developed while boxing?

Absolutely everything, that’s bingo. Boxing uses muscles that cannot be used in the gym. I remember how many times very cool, functional athletes, people who do crossfit, people who lift weights, train, who look like statues, come to boxing… and not because they cannot bear this load, but because after such an effective training their muscles begin to ache, they do not even know about its existence.

What does boxing develop in the body besides muscles?

Coordination and self-confidence in your actions. When a person acquires the skill of self-defense, he makes decisions more easily and becomes more courageous.

Boxing also helps cope with stress. During a period when you have a busy schedule, stay away from electronic devices for an hour, circulate the blood in your body, let oxygen enter your body, take some breaths – all these are as useful as going to a psychotherapist. Or maybe better.

Is it true that boxers lose flexibility and gain sharpness in their bodies?

Flexibility does not disappear, on the contrary, it appears, and with it coordination and composure. Only excess weight goes away.

BoxingIsn’t this a women’s sport? Is he developing aggression?

At the Brothers Boxing Club, 70% of our students are girls and they leave all their aggression in the club. By boxing, they balance their emotional state and return home happy with their loved ones, friends, husbands and boyfriends. you can say this We protect everyone around us from our studentsBecause we take all the aggression on ourselves.
