What is infertility?

The causes of such changes may be malformations in the genitourinary organs, malignant neoplasms, infections of the genitourinary system, dilation of the vessels of the vas deferens (varicocele), endocrine disorders and genetic disorders.

The most effective method to overcome infertility
Depending on the cause of infertility, the patient may be recommended medication or surgery. In some cases, assisted reproductive technologies come to the rescue: for example, IVF – in vitro fertilization.
During IVF, the egg is removed from the woman’s body and artificially fertilized under in vitro conditions (“in vitro”). The resulting embryo is kept in an incubator where it develops for five to six days. The embryo is then transferred to the uterine cavity or frozen for further development.

What does the success of in vitro fertilization treatment depend on?
The success of an in vitro fertilization program depends on many factors. For example, the age of a woman is of great importance – the quality of the egg and the embryo as a whole depends on it. The quality of the endometrium, a special layer on the inner surface of the uterus, is also considered critical. To improve this and create optimal conditions for embryo transfer, the woman is given hormonal therapy.
Another factor is the experience and qualifications of doctors. The doctor must choose the right stimulation scheme, perform ovarian puncture and embryo transfer correctly. The success of each stage of in vitro fertilization treatment directly depends on the professionalism of the doctors.
