Each of us at least once encountered unexpected consequences from the use of cosmetics or procedures. Today we will hear just such a story. But before we move on to storytelling, let’s give some information about our department. Here girls (anonymously or anonymously) talk about their most embarrassing, funny, unpleasant (or all of the above at once) beauty stories. And we learn from their personal experiences. Now let’s get into the story!
Ksyusha, 28 years old
My husband and I went on vacation to Thailand. And there are many stores with different Asian cosmetics. Everyone knows he’s great. And it constantly contains strange substances like snail mucus and bee venom. I saw a turmeric mask in one of these stores. On the box was a drawing of an Asian girl with clear porcelain skin. And the mask itself promised to give a whitening effect. And naturally I bought it. I thought: “Great, I will make a beautification in the evening.”
We lived in an excellent room with a large bathroom, panoramic windows and snow-white linens. And in this bright kingdom a yellow mask appeared. I arranged for a spa in the evening – I applied the mask to myself and my husband at the same time. We left it on for the required time and washed it. The light was already dim at that time, so I planned to observe the effect in the morning.
The first thing I see in the morning is a yellow pillow. I quickly get out of bed and go to the bathroom with strange thoughts – you know, that feeling of uncertainty when you already suspect something but you’re not sure yet if everything is exactly that way. Then I see that our snow-white bathroom has turned turmeric color. A yellow sink, yellow towels and finally my yellow face in the reflection of the mirror.
The next day all the Thai people looked at us. All we did was rub our skin with salty sea water. By the way, in the evening the yellow color faded a little. That’s right, not the sink and towels. The maid absolutely hated us.
The results of my beauty treatment: a face that has had a yellowish tint for several days, damaged bed linens and towels, and a husband who no longer trusts me with his face.
