In our new section “Condition help” we tell you what to do in various beauty events. How to repair a broken nail, revive dried mascara or revive cracked lipstick – we will answer one question in each material. Next, perhaps the most common, during heat – how to remove swelling?

In general, the main reason for the appearance of edema in the summer is the expansion of blood vessels due to high air temperature. As a result, fluid accumulates in the veins and capillaries, the blood stagnates and edema occurs. Most often, the limbs are prone to this problem – the density of blood flow is lower there. In this article, we’ll talk about five lifehacks that will help relieve swelling.

drink more water

It seems that we sweat more in the heat and accordingly we need to actively lose fluid. But at the same time, our body is struggling with overheating. Therefore, it holds more fluid to have something to sweat and thus cool. The result is simple – the more we drink (in the normal range, of course), the easier it will be for the body to work.

Take a contrast shower

A contrast shower will improve blood circulation and, as a result, help relieve swelling. You need to start the procedure from the feet, gradually rising to the head and changing the temperature of the water from warm to cold. If you’re a beginner, choose comfortable temperatures without running from one extreme to the next. You need to carry out the procedure from 2 to 15 minutes.

get a massage

Preferably lymphatic drainage and a specialist. When exposed to the skin in the direction of lymphatic flow, the functioning of the lymphatic system normalizes and improves. Therefore, swelling is reduced.

For ordinary home massage, you can use rollers or scrapers made of natural stone. Before use, you can cool the devices in the freezer to increase the effect.

do gymnastics

One option to quickly relieve swelling at the end of the day is to lie on the floor and put your feet on the wall to help the lymph flow to the large nodes. Fifteen minutes of this exercise will suffice to minimize swelling in the legs.

There’s also such a thing as lymphatic drainage splashes. These are quick jumps that improve blood circulation throughout the body and help relieve facial swelling. 100 small jumps are enough to see the difference.

Use coolant

Perhaps the most enjoyable of all is to apply a cooling gel or spray that promises to reduce body temperature by two degrees. These products often contain menthol, aloe vera, and other soothing and cooling ingredients.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with periodic edema. But if this problem persists, you need to see a doctor to find out if it is the result of another illness.
