With the new year officially here, there are tons of at-home exercises to try, but it’s hard to find a full-body workout you can do without equipment in the comfort of your living room—until now. founders of raise the tone, Katrina Scott Y Alba Karenashared with hollywood life EXCLUSIVELYHIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts you can do to get fit.
“One of the best workouts that gets your heart pounding and metabolism is with a HIIT workout. The beauty of this type of cardio is that there are SO MANY ways to switch it up, meaning you’ll never get bored! the girls admitted. “The Tone It Up app has so many options and it’s free until April 22nd. Each HIIT training style maintains results and increases your VO2 max, endurance and even strength.
See below the three sets of exercises included in the training.
1. HIIT Supersets
“You may have heard of a ‘superset’ when it comes to strength. This means that you alternate two exercises in one set, and the same idea applies to a superset HIIT workout. Do two exercises, alternating between them for a certain time. For example, swing with kettlebells and planks. You will do 20 seconds of swing, followed by 20 seconds of plank. Or do 20 seconds of jump squats, followed by 20 seconds of shoulder slaps. Alternate both lower body and upper body movements, so one muscle group rests while the other works, but keep increasing your heart rate. Try it in your TIU app: Super Sculpt moves with K&K.

2.AMRAP
“As many laps as possible. This type of HIIT workout involves choosing a few exercises with designated repetitions and performing them for as many rounds as possible until the specified time runs out. Here’s an example: In 5 minutes, do 10 reverse lunges, 10 squats, 10 shoulder strikes and 10 V-ups. When you’re done with the V-ups, go back to the start and continue. You can choose any number of moves, reps, and total workout time! Most importantly: have fun!
3. tabata
“Consider this the OG of HIIT workouts! That means you do an exercise ~think jump squat or mountain climber~ for 20 seconds. Then rest for 10 seconds and repeat for 8 rounds. That’s 4 minutes in total. However, you will see MANY variations of this real time Tabata. We can do 30 seconds on and 15 seconds off, or 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off. Or we can alternate between two movements, doing each only 4 times. Any of these work-to-rest ratios will improve your fitness and increase your cardio. And you can also choose to ride the elliptical, treadmill, or bike. Try it on your TIU app: Tabata Tone with Kat.”
As for some ways to motivate yourself to do this exercise, Karena and Katrina revealed: “Pick a schedule to take the guesswork out of it. We currently love the Toned Body, Toned Mind program on the Tone It Up app, as it increases the intensity of your workouts and meditations as your body and mind get even stronger. Also, schedule your workouts. We know how busy days can be, but if you set a reminder or plan to train virtually with friends, you’ll be responsible and have fun!
Some ways to maintain a healthy diet at home, the girls revealed, are: “Preparing healthy meals and snacks on the go makes eating at home easy. Adding protein to any meal will help you fuel up after your workout and fill you up when you need a snack. We love our Tone It Up Birthday Cake Bars for a quick snack, or grab our Tone It Up Café Latte Protein Powder in the afternoon to combat the 4pm slump. Recipes with short ingredient lists are what matters right now. We love starting our mornings with raspberry toast. It’s a sweet and healthy morning cure-all, and you can use any fruit you have on hand. We love having our freezers stocked with frozen cauliflower rice. This frozen veggie combined with berries and Tone It Up vanilla protein powder will add a deliciously smooth texture to our current favorite berry cauliflower smoothie. Pack up after a TIU workout and the protein will fuel your nice, lean muscles!
