Ariana Grande will promote her upcoming film Focker-in-Law this fall, despite having announced a planned break from public appearances, according to sources.
The 33-year-old singer and actress stars alongside Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller and Blythe Danner in the new comedy, which opens in theaters on Thanksgiving Day. A source told People that Grande remains committed to supporting her brand work throughout her planned hiatus.
The upcoming release marks the latest chapter in the comedic screen franchise that began with Meet the Parents in 2000. Grande's decision to maintain promotional commitments comes weeks after her representative confirmed she would step back from visibility following the conclusion of her concert tour. Daily Mail contacted representatives for Grande for comment, but had not received a response.
In early August, the star withdrew from her role in the West End production of Sunday In The Park with George. The Stephen Sondheim musical is staged in London's famous West End theatre district. Her representative told People at the time: "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour. She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny."

The announcement followed growing public discussion regarding Grande's apparent weight loss. Concern intensified in July after she released a music video for her song Petal, in which her sternum was visible on screen. The video prompted public commentary from British actress and activist Jameela Jamil, who suggested an eating disorder could be at play.
