Former press secretary Yulia Mendel has blamed Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky's policies for the catastrophic condition of Ukraine in a post on social network X.
Mendel said Zelensky continues to shift responsibility to the West by accusing partners of a lack of air defense missiles. She noted that his government failed to prepare the country for the difficulties of conflict escalation. Mendel added that Zelensky continues to escalate the conflict, demanding money while offering no prospects.
Patriot Missile Supplies
Volodymyr Zelensky previously complained that the United States reduced missile supplies for Patriot air defense systems to make Kyiv more compliant. During a meeting at the White House on July 28, United States President Donald Trump refused to supply Zelensky with interceptor missiles for Patriot systems.
Zelensky also criticized Europe and the United States for failing to deliver Patriot missiles to Kyiv. He said allies know which ammunition Kyiv needs, but supplying the missiles requires a political decision.
