Wurkkos and Sofirn flashlights have been discounted on AliExpress for the 11.11 shopping event, offering four rechargeable models for different daily tasks.
Writing for Spanish newspaper La Razon, Murcian technology journalist Javier Rosagro reported that choosing a flashlight depends on where it will be used rather than the lumen figures on the box.
Rosagro noted that the torch someone reaches for when electricity trips at home is entirely different from one carried on a mountain trail, used across fields at night, or taken to the sea floor.

Battery sizes and lumen ratings
Rosagro explained that numerical battery codes reveal far more about physical size and handling than peak lumen ratings. An 18650 cell measures roughly 18 millimetres in diameter and 65 millimetres in length. The larger 21700 and 26650 formats are thicker and store more energy.
Higher battery numbers mean a heavier torch that is less comfortable in a pocket. Advertised maximum lumens can also mislead, as torches step down output automatically when internal electronics heat up.
Because users rely on intermediate modes, Rosagro advised evaluating battery size and intended location before output power. The Wurkkos FC11C uses the compact 18650, the Sofirn SC33 and Wurkkos TS22 use the 21700, and the Wurkkos DL07 diving model uses the thick 26650.
Sofirn SC33 wide beam flashlight
The Sofirn SC33 is built for rural environments where users need broad illumination rather than a distant spotlight. Rosagro cited walking from a village house with a blown patio bulb to a car parked across an olive grove. The torch mounts a Cree XHP70.3 HI LED that distributes light in a wide fan across the ground and sides simultaneously.
While the unit boasts a peak output of 5,200 lumens, Rosagro reported that its true value outdoors is that wide peripheral beam. An electronic rear push button on the tailcap turns it on with a thumb without twisting, leaving the other hand free for keys or bags.

The SC33 charges via USB-C and houses a 21700 battery. Its size makes it too bulky for jeans pockets, making it best suited for a glovebox or warehouse door. On AliExpress, the 11.11 promotion cuts its price from 47.74 euros to 31.08 euros with coupon code RAZONES03.
Wurkkos FC11C household flashlight
The Wurkkos FC11C prioritises domestic utility over extreme brightness. It delivers a maximum of roughly 1,200 lumens and uses an 18650 battery, fitting easily inside an entrance drawer beside spare cells and lighters.
The torch is aimed at household power cuts, checking tripped circuit breakers, or handling darkness during dinner. It features a Nichia 519A LED known for natural color rendering, ensuring red wiring looks red, electrical panel notes remain readable, and skin tones do not turn bluish.

Internal regulation keeps brightness stable across the battery charge rather than gradually fading like cheap shop torches. It recharges by USB-C using standard phone cables. While usable for night dog walks or mountain trips, Rosagro called it the best single torch for the home. Discount code RAZONES03 reduces its AliExpress price from 26.71 euros to 19.72 euros.
Wurkkos TS22 outdoor trail flashlight
The Wurkkos TS22 is designed for hiking trails, where a common hazard is a smartphone battery dying while checking maps. The torch features reverse charging, using its 21700 battery to transfer power to a mobile phone via cable like an external power pack.
A magnetic tailcap secures the light to car bonnets or metal beams for hands-free work when changing a tyre or pitching a tent. It features an XHP70D LED offering an even, wide beam with faithful colors and stepped brightness levels.

Rosagro cautioned that the TS22 has an automatic electronic lockout that activates on its own and can confuse users. He recommended practicing the unlocking routine at home before heading out. On AliExpress, coupon code RAZONES08 lowers its price from 52.55 euros to 39.08 euros.
Wurkkos DL07 underwater diving torch
The Wurkkos DL07 is engineered for scuba diving, where cold water and gloves make standard buttons impractical. The torch uses a large mechanical rotary ring turned with the whole hand, allowing easy adjustment with wet fingers or gloves.
The diving torch emits a 5,000 Kelvin neutral white beam and is sealed for sea descents. It comes supplied with a 26650 battery and a standalone single-slot charging cradle, arriving ready for its first dive.

Under the AliExpress sale, the DL07 is reduced from 67.72 euros to 51.37 euros with discount code RAZONES08.
Common beginner mistakes and maintenance
Rosagro identified three frequent errors made by first-time buyers. The most common is choosing a torch solely by headline lumens, because extreme brightness indoors creates blinding glare and forces the light to run in low mode most of its life.
The second error is storing a rechargeable torch and forgetting it. A rechargeable unit left uncharged will fail during a power cut just like dead disposable batteries. Rosagro advised topping up the battery every few months, using seasonal clock changes as a reminder.
The third mistake is submerging weather-resistant torches. Rain resistance does not make a torch waterproof for diving, which requires dedicated underwater construction.
Regarding home storage, Rosagro noted that torches can be kept with batteries inside, provided cells are not left completely flat for months and are kept away from ovens or heat sources. Torches naturally heat up on maximum mode before thermal step-downs reduce power, meaning high mode is unnecessary for searching a cupboard. The FC11C and SC33 charge with phone cables, while the DL07 requires its included dock.
Rosagro concluded that a torch is only useful where darkness strikes: the Sofirn in the car, the TS22 in the backpack, the DL07 in the dive bag, and the FC11C in the hall drawer ready for a tripped breaker.
