A 21-year-old woman from Hallett Cove has died after two cars collided on the coast of South Australia, about 21km from Adelaide.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Barramundi Drive and Lonsdale Road at Hallett Cove at 10pm on Tuesday. SA Police said the crash involved a Nissan station wagon and a Subaru sedan.
The woman, a passenger in the Nissan, died at the scene. A second female passenger, 20, was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The Nissan's driver, a 21-year-old woman from Morphett Vale, and the Subaru's driver, a 27-year-old man from Aberfoyle Park, were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation underway
Police temporarily closed roads while investigators examined the scene. The woman's death is the 73rd life lost on South Australian roads this year.
