Speaking to Eating Well, Coffman said the skin of a cooked chicken should be a pleasant golden or dark brown color. She said the meat itself could be pink, assuring consumers that this was absolutely safe.

Pink or red juice pooling at the bottom of the chicken container also poses no danger, according to Coffman.

However, she said that if the juices had cooled and congealed, it could indicate the cooked chicken had been stored for too long at temperatures that were too low.

Coffee health benefits

Separately, epidemiologist Tim Spector revealed an advantage associated with coffee lovers. Spector said people who regularly drink coffee possess a richer gut microbiome.
