Two Qantas passenger planes nearly collided at Sydney Airport in Australia on July 27, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

One of the airliners was taxiing on the runway while the second plane received clearance to land. Air traffic controllers noticed the mistake in time and gave the pilots new instructions, avoiding a collision.
Investigation launched
An investigation has been opened following the incident. The near-miss comes after another plane almost collided with an aircraft during landing at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky.
