Disney+ has announced that Twisted Wonderland will return for a second season in December 2026, releasing a new official poster to mark the occasion.
The promotional image spotlights Savanaclaw, the dormitory inspired by Scar, the villain from The Lion King, suggesting that house will play a central role in the new episodes. The series is set in a magical academy where each residence is modeled on a classic Disney villain, including those inspired by Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Jafar from Aladdin, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
The franchise began as a mobile gacha game launched in Japan in 2020, arriving in North America two years later. The anime adaptation is distinguished by artwork from Yana Toboso, the mangaka known for Black Butler, whose style gave the Disney villains a fully reimagined look.
The announcement also reflects Disney’s broader investment in anime, which has produced other projects including Star Wars: Visions, an anthology series featuring Japanese studios creating stories set in the Star Wars galaxy.
