Rofrane and Nasser Bambara are happy parents of quadruplets, but their daily lives are not always easy. As a matter of fact, the couple, whose four children were affected by autism spectrum disorder, had to adapt to their daily lives. When Nasser and Rofrane decided to move to Morocco, they finally gave up on the project to better care for their children there.
“It is not easy to have a child with ASD”
Rofrane explains: “I was scared. (…) It was very confusing. The health workers we had [en France] Do not follow the same children. (…) We needed to find speech therapists specializing in ASD. We had to find psychomotor therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, all of which we did twice. (…) I cried every day because we were about to leave, we had everything”. Therefore, the couple decided to say goodbye to their project of living in Casablanca in order to take care of their little ones as well as possible.
On Monday, December 19, the mother of quadruplets shared her biggest joy of the day on her Instagram account: the class photo of her children. “Simple classroom photos but they mean a lot to me. These photos represent inclusion, benevolence, humanity. Having a child with ASD is not easy, having a 4 is not something we can imagine, but it is still our reality”, he admitted first. And to continue: “Sometimes I am overwhelmed, disappointed, disgusted and angry at all the fights we have to fight to have the same rights as others.” Rofrane then wanted to thank all the professionals who helped make life easier for her children and therefore her own children. “I can’t thank everyone who works with our children every day for their contribution, learning and progress at all levels. We’ve seen and seen their progress since September. You feel their joyful desire to go to school, to integrate with other children in the classroom or on field trips.”Nasser’s wife continued. Then, to finalize: “We have four extraordinary children, but we have a care team and an even more extraordinary education team, so if you experience this, know that what you give them every day is invaluable. THANK YOU for everything”.
