Patrick Sébastien talks about suicidal thoughts on the set of TPMP: “I’ve always thought about it” (VIDEO)

Patrick Sébastien was on the set of TPMP tonight to talk about his book, his breakup with Nana, and his cancer. Incredibly candidly, the former star of France 2 also talked about his frequent contemplation of suicide.

Patrick Sébastien’s greatest wish is to leave when he feels like it. The former presenter of the world’s greatest cabaret has sincerely surrendered on the set of Touche, not on my post at C8.

In particular, he came back with kidney cancer, which he managed to overcome a few months ago. Cyril Hanouna asks if this cancer started because of his violent eviction from France Télévisions. To be honest, Patrick Sébastien replies: “Everything like this is linked to health issues. Stress creates this”. He adds: “I’ve been waiting for this! I was hoping to have something physical”.

Determined not to be discouraged, Patrick Sébastien warns: “If you complain, if you feel sorry for yourself, you won’t be able to get away!”

Cyril Hanouna then quotes a very powerful passage from his new book “Live and be reborn every day”, in which the presenter awakens his suicidal desires. On this subject, Sardine’s translator explains: “I don’t want to shoot myself in despair. Despite the pain, I had a great chance to live an extraordinary life (…) All is well as long as I live. But physical and especially mental decay is something I have a really hard time accepting.”

He adds: “Life and death have always fascinated me. This is a great way. Death is magnificent. This is the only time we are all equal”.

Completely recovering from his cancer, Patrick Sébastien spent the summer meeting a brand new audience on stage. The host, who is happy to convey his good humor and joy of life, is full of new projects.

Patrick Sébastien also took advantage of his time on the show to discuss his breakup with Nana (Nathalie), whom he had been with for 30 years. Very good friends, the two exes continue to see each other and work together. “To love someone is to admit that they are happy without us,” she recalls.
