Is Samuel in the wrong place at the wrong time?
With Paul’s help, Victoire manages to get Samuel out of the barn. Paul calls the emergency room and Victoire manages to wake her boyfriend.
Samuel is safe and sound at the hospital. On the other hand, he does not understand how the fire started and why the door was closed.
The fire was started deliberately. Noticing anything out of the ordinary, George questions Paul and claims that he left the barn without closing the door. The door, however, was locked to contain Samuel.
Paul informs George that the fire in his barn, which has won several horse races and heated up the competition, may have been to kill one of the horses. Samuel was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Shadow’s main competitor is the stud horse, a mare owned by Victor Brunet. Martin wants to gather the necessary evidence before summoning him.
Samuel remembers Solange being suspicious of Diane. She wonders if it had anything to do with the fire. Renaud thinks his son is going crazy and angry.
Having exceptionally pulled Shadow out of the stable during the fire, Paul speaks into his horse’s ear. He tells her that he can tell her everything and that he will protect her for life.
Victoire thinks Diane’s departure 10 years ago had something to do with the fire. She was on good terms with Solange at the time and was probably waiting to get the breeder back when she died. Solange also warned Samuel before he died.
Samuel goes through his old photos and finds a note in the drawer. He says “fuck the bastard” as he reads.
