Here it all begins (TF1), already: Tuesday 31st May episode recap… SPOILER

The gap between Constance and Emmanuel Teyssier widens, so much so that the Institute’s director loses all his resources. Hortense presents a miraculous innovation that disagrees.

Constance’s confession

Charlène tries to force her father to reconcile with his wife, emphasizing that Landiras will do anything for Constance. The second comes home to collect things. While he refuses to have coffee with his daughter, Emmanuel Teyssier is ironic about this refusal before it slips away completely. She pushes him, tells him to take all his belongings and not to come home. Shocked by her husband’s violence, Constance tells her that she no longer feels remorse before Charlène whispers in her ear that she slept with Zacharie Landiras without hearing. Her husband is in shock.

Hortense asked Mahdi to join him in the kitchen for a surprise. Blindfolded, she tastes a chicory-based recipe before giving her a special flavor-altering powder, miraculin. The lemon cream of chicory thus turned the young man into vanilla cream to his greatest surprise. He explains to her that protein powder isn’t new, it’s been slurred over by lobbies. She explains that it’s not unhealthy, and is overjoyed when her boyfriend suggests that Theo talk about Double A.

While unloading the fish, Theo is joined by his father, who comes to check on the goods. He takes this opportunity to discuss Constance’s departure with her. Her father is very cold and reproaches her for always supporting her mother. That’s why Théo thinks he deserves his wife’s separation. His son denies this and assures him that seeing him this way does not please him. He asks what Constance said to him that morning, but his father refuses to talk about it.

Big day for Axel. He will present his dessert to his uncle in order to gain the right to take the entrance exam. Emmanuel isn’t thrilled by the visuals and is uncomfortable listening to Jasmine’s enthusiasm, which he refuses to talk about. After tasting it, he asks his nephew where he got his idea for this dessert. He then calls her to his office a little later.

Zacharie finds Constance in the Institute’s garden. He admits that he was thinking of seeing her over the weekend and asks her about her schedule since she took shelter at Clotilde. Constance then tells her about her argument with her husband. When Zacharie offers to move in with him, she refuses to think about her family but offers him dinner that same evening.

Is Teyssier depressed?

Axel shows up at his uncle’s office. He is surprised to see Salomé, to whom he was also summoned. His uncle announces to him that he is good at cooking, but that he has to work hard to beat the competition. He tells her that he will be coached by Salomé, who is now in 3rd grade and is not a vegetarian like Jasmine. Salomé refuses, citing a busy schedule, and Axel defends her work with Jasmine, but Teyssier tells them they have no other choice.

Hortense offers miraculin to Theo and Clotilde, but does not respond as expected. Chief Armand does not understand the interest of this powder, which is a tool for him. He refuses to consider using it at the Institute. Theo said nothing for himself. However, he soon finds Hortense in the garden and explains to him that the chief does not allow him to speak and is only interested. He offers to imagine a recipe with this miracle and taste it. If he’s convinced, he’ll put this dessert on the Double A menu.

Leaving Teyssier’s office, Salomé gets angry and takes possession of Axel’s “piston”. She states that she doesn’t have time to deal with her homework. Jasmine joins them and is stunned when she hears the news. He even accuses his opponent of suggesting the idea to Teyssier. Salomé defends herself before leaving. Alone with Axel, Jasmine asks her if she has defended their partnership in front of her uncle. Axel assures her that she has no choice but to work with Salomé, but a jealous Jasmine worries about her time with her ex.

Teyssier, completely offended by Constance’s confession, is next to the plate in the master class. She makes a few mistakes in her recipe before letting the students assemble it on their own. The latter talks about her situation, and in front of the critics, Charlène confesses to them that her mother has separated. When they taste Emmanuel’s lemon pie, which is completely missed, their anxiety increases even more. Charlène warns Axel and Théo and finds them in the garden to argue. If Axel is convinced that his uncle will recover, Théo and Charlène accuse him of being a member of the band and not seeing Emmanuel ever be in this situation.

Zacharie works with Célia on her pastry for the contest. Mehdi arrives late and admits that he hesitated to come because of the story with the Teyssiers. If Landiras points out that it’s none of his business, the young man insists he’s offended, especially since Emmanuel supported him so much in creating his signature dessert. She feels like she’s betraying him. He also tells Célia about the failure of the day’s master class session. Landiras gets angry and tells him that he doesn’t want to retreat along the way. She asks him to choose between himself and Teyssier.

Worried, Axel finds his uncle who is making lemon pie. The second gets angry and tells him that he missed his dessert again. Axel doesn’t believe it, but Teyssier insists he taste the rejection. He grabs his nephew by the neck and nearly pokes his head into the plate before stopping in time. He apologizes to Axel and admits that without Constance he is nothing. She says she made fun of Landiras when she was dumped by Gabrielle, but she’s just like her today.
