Comedian Tiffany Haddish was arrested early this morning by the Beverly Hills police after she apparently fell asleep at the wheel of her stopped car on Beverly Drive.
According to TMZ, which published video of a handcuffed Haddish being placed in the backseat of a police car, the comedian was not involved in an accident but was pulled over the wheel of her by officers around 5:45 a.m. car found. The vehicle’s engine was still running.
Deadline reached out to law enforcement officials and representatives for Haddish. According to TMZ, Haddish will likely be charged with driving under the influence today.
Haddish appeared at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Thursday night for the annual free Thanksgiving Community Party and Program.
Haddish was arrested last year in a similar incident in Atlanta in which Peachtree City police said she fell asleep at the wheel. She was charged with driving under the influence and improperly stopping on the road. A court hearing is scheduled for next month.
