‘Wednesday’ EP Steve Stark talks about moving production to Ireland and teases season 2

As Deadline exclusively revealed on Monday, Netflix has‘S Success series Wednesday will feature rotating locations, with filming for the upcoming second season taking place in Ireland.

While attending the Season 5 premiere of FX’s Fargothat he is an executive producer, Wednesday Executive producer Steve Stark spoke to Deadline about the decision to move from Romania, where the first season was filmed, to Ireland.

“Romania was a great place for creative photography, but challenging in many ways,” he said.

As Deadline reported, the Balkan country presented logistical challenges, as speculation arose shortly after production ended that the series would likely be filmed elsewhere if a second season were to be filmed.

Season 5 is about “this woman caught between two incredible forces: a mother-in-law and a sheriff,” he added. “How is she going to get out of this fight? Does Stark think there will be another season? Fargo beyond what comes? “I do. We’ve covered every decade except the ’60s and ’90s. So maybe the ’60s and ’90s,” he said.
