Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer pay heartfelt tribute to Matthew Perry: “Thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity”

Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer have written touching tributes to their exes Friends Co-star Matthew Perry.

“Oh man, that hit deep… Saying goodbye to our Matty was a crazy wave of emotions like I’ve never experienced before,” Aniston wrote on Instagram. “We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. When you can truly SIT in that sadness, you can feel moments of joy and gratitude because you love someone so much. And we loved him very much. He was so part of our DNA. There were always six of us. This was a chosen family that changed our careers and our path forever. Matty knew he liked to make people laugh. As he himself said, he thought he would die if he didn’t hear the “laughter”. His life literally depended on it. And boy, did he do just that. He made us all laugh. And laugh out loud. For the last few weeks I have been passing our texts to each other. Laugh and cry and then laugh again. I will keep her forever and ever. I got a text that he sent me out of the blue one day. That says it all. (See the second slide…)

Matty, I love you so much and I know that you are now completely at peace and no longer in pain. I talk to you every day…sometimes I can almost hear you say, “Can you lose your mind?”

Rest bro.
You always made my day…’

And you had a heart. They were generous and shared it with us so we could create a family out of six strangers.

This photo shows one of my favorite moments with you. Now it makes me laugh and sad at the same time.

I imagine you are out there somewhere, in the same white suit, with your hands in your pockets, looking around…

“Can there still be clouds?”
