The six-part series follows Gray Bourgeois, a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans. After his son is violently murdered and his business collapses, an encounter with an old friend from his time as a coxswain brings back old habits and puts Gray on a collision course with a violent crime syndicate.
Community Zachary Momoh also plays Zimbabwean gangster The Horse in New Orleans; Paula Malcomson as Parish’s wife and mother of his two children, Rose; Skeet Ulrich as Grey’s old acquaintance Colin; Bonnie Mbuili as Shamiso Tongai, the horse’s wise and protective older sister; Ivan Mbakop as the horse’s brother, Zenzo; Arica Himmel as Gray and Rose’s daughter Makayla; and Dax Rey as Luke, the horse’s son.
Bradley Whitford returns as Anton, the charming and intelligent face of Louisiana’s industrial business community who secretly runs a criminal organization. His dispute with The Horse’s human trafficking ring brings him into conflict with Parish. Amanda Brugel also guest stars as Sister Anne, who has a mysterious past with Grey.
Community based on the British series The manager, created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser. It is produced by AMC Studios in association with A+E Studios and Thruline Entertainment. Brocklehurst serves as co-creator and executive producer.
