If you had a magic lamp, which three wishes would you like to fulfill?
Kevin Adams: To give eternal health to all the people I love, my family, my friends, my loved ones and even my dislikes. This may sound trivial, but it is sincere. This is very important to me because every year I meet children, young people who suffer from terrible diseases. My second wish would be to work with Leonardo DiCaprio in a movie directed by Martin Scorsese. Or Steven Spielberg if Martin isn’t available. And finally, I would ask my genie to grant as many wishes as he wishes.
Did you have a good genie?
There are two: Élisa Soussan, who noticed me ten years ago and accompanies me in my career today, and, of course, my mother. He has supported and encouraged me since I started. She manages billions of things for me every day. I love working with him. She’s got genius, mom!
Is there some evil genius in you?
I don’t think so, but I think greed can sometimes lead to terrible thoughts. We say to ourselves, “I want to be there faster, do this, do that…” I’ve learned not to look left or right: I follow my path.
And if you could go back, what would you do?
My grandfather passed away when I was 13. It’s a huge disappointment that he can’t see everything I do. I told him, “Don’t worry about me, it’s amazing what’s going to happen! »
Everything works for you. You’re kind of on a magic carpet. So how do you get your feet on the ground?
I owe this only to my family and friends. They’ve been the same for fifteen years. They are not afraid to say things to me even with hurtful words if I make a mistake.
The genius of your career?
Countertop from the Soda series. It was near my high school. We were hanging out there with my friends. One day I say this to Élisa Soussan and there the series was born! There’s also the “I Love Kev Adams” t-shirt. I think that was the first thing that got my name in people’s minds. Attention, this is genius, I’m not Einstein either!
