Her first festival, her first clip, her first venture… At We Love Green, Ronisia, a pop artist with millions of views on most of her clips, told us about her first times!

Ronisia. I’m Ronisia, I’m 23, I’m an artist and I make pop.
The first song you wrote?
It’s not the first time I wanted it, it’s the first time I’ve been forced to write a song, because I didn’t have the courage to do it! it was repeated to me “try try”. It was 2019. It’s a song that has never been released and I think it will never be released! They were my first pen strokes, because I also wrote with a pen, on a sheet. It’s a sound that will never come out, unfortunately I can’t play it for you (laughs).
The first sound that made you want to make music?
The first sound, I don’t know exactly, but the artist is Beyoncé. She made me want to sing all the time, because vocally she’s amazing, on stage she’s amazing and because she’s had so many hits! I like the character.
The first time you went on stage?
The first time I went on stage I was terrified. I think this stress will never go away because it’s part of the game. The first time was crazy because before I used to sing in front of max 5 people (and they were my friends or my family!)
The first music video that marked you?
Rihanna’s music videos, like “Umbrella”. At that time she had just arrived in addition, she suddenly put a increase.
Your first music video?
It was the clip of “No more suffering”, in 2019. This is the first track I released. I was very stressed, I was apprehensive because as a woman you always pay a lot of attention to your image. In the end it went well. It was a first clip, so it wasn’t even crazy, but I’m proud, especially when I see the evolution.
Your first venture?
This is “Nice lady”. It is the first hit that has grown. I was very happy that Joé called me to offer me the piece because he is an artist that I listened to even before making music. I was super flattered that he was thinking of me. It was crazy stuff! Also, you should know that Joé wanted to throw the piece at the base. He told me that he didn’t like him at first, but that he started liking him a little more once I laid on him. So I’m proud of this sound!
Your first festival?
My first festival was Solidays. Still just as stressed! The fact that it’s a festival, I tell myself that people didn’t necessarily come for me. Makes you want to do three times better!
This is my first We Love Green, plus the stage is huge, and I’m not necessarily used to being on stages that big, so it was just amazing. We are often used to playing in closed rooms and it was open there, I saw people all the way, it was super impressive!

I’m going to a festival in Bordeaux, then there’s Guyana, Reunion, and there I’m mainly preparing my second album. I’m thinking of announcing a tour once the album is ready.
