Ninja Warrior (TF1): 2 legendary obstacles are back… all new features from season 8!

This sporty and fun competition returns for the eighth time. An excellent opportunity for candidates to spice up the tests.

Duels at the Top

for this version Ninja warrior production in the face of legends complicated the qualities. The new candidates will challenge each other to a duel before the eight strongest (6 men and 2 women) move on to the next stage. They will have to compete with an old “legend”, that is, a candidate who has shined in the past. Among these personalities we find Charles Poujade, the first candidate to break the Mega Wall, or Maurane Jelic, the most powerful woman of the last edition. Joined three times before Ninja warrior and regularly outperform men!

NEW OBSTACLES

Two new obstacles are emerging this year. The Poseidon Gate forces contestants to dive into unheated water to open three sunken doors. They must then climb a net and press a bell. Ramp of Titans requires contestants to push a weighted block down an elevated ramp and then run downhill through the chicanes.

HARD EVENTS ARE BACK

This new edition of Ninja Warrior is also notable for the return of two legendary hurdles. For Steamroller, competitors must hold on tightly to a rotating roller as they descend along the tracks. Competitors will also have to pass the Butterfly, which involves jumping on a springboard to reach a butterfly that will spin, allowing them to hold the rope if they have enough strength left.

NEVER CHANGE A WINNING TEAM

As every year, the show is presented by Christophe Beaugrand, Denis Brogniart and Iris Mittenaere. While the first two were there from the very beginning, the former beauty queen has replaced Sandrine Quétier since 2018. If they are accomplices, they each have a well-defined role as Denis Brogniart brings his sporting expertise and Christophe Beaugrand adds some humor. Iris Mittenaere collects impressions of families and candidates.

NOT SEEN ON TELEVISION

Foreign testers who are experts in the sport, including Ecuadorian speedclimbing coach Isaac Estevez, show candidates each track before they begin. These serials will not be broadcast. On the other hand, Isaac Estevez deciphers them during each broadcast so that television viewers realize the difficulty of the tests.
