"save or perish" : Omar Sy salutes the memory of the firefighter who died in the vehicle fires

On the night of Monday, July 3, Master Corporal Dorian Damelincourt died of a heart attack while working in an underground car park where several vehicles were burned. On Twitter, Omar Sy paid homage to the firefighter who disappeared in the line of duty.

France’s firefighters are in mourning. At around 3 am on Monday, July 3, emergency services were called to put out a fire in the underground car park of a building in Saint-Denis. Inside, several vehicles are on fire and the fire is spreading upstairs. Senior Corporal Dorian Damelincourt was among the firefighters who arrived at the scene. He died at the age of only 24 from a heart attack during the intervention.

He was promptly rescued by his comrades and then rescued by a resuscitation ambulance that arrived at the scene, after which he was transported to Percy Armies Teaching Hospital. Despite all the interventions of the medical teams, he died at around 05:00., states the Paris fire department (BSPP) in a press release issued by the Ministry of Defense. For the time being, a link could not be made between this fire and the numerous incidents that took place in France after a police officer was shot dead during a roadside check in Nahel. The death of Dorian Damelincourt caused a wave of emotions on social networks with many homages. Omar Sy took the floor to salute the memory of the firefighter.

Thoughts and prayers for the family of Dorian Damelicourt. He died in the fire, true to the ‘save or perish’ slogan of the Paris firefighters. Let us honor his memory as much as his commitment is impeccable. Let’s unite in pain“, he shared on Twitter.
