This is where it all starts: Is Hortense about to leave the institute?  Summary before May 24 (SPOILER)

Hortense receives two life-changing news on her birthday. Called for help by Laëtitia, Antoine warns Kelly about her affair with Chief Lenglart. Solal confesses his feelings for Rose. Here are the highlights from Wednesday, May 24 episode of It All Begins (TF1).

Clotilde confesses to Hortense that Teyssier does not want her to be a teacher at the institute. However, the latter interrupts them and announces to the young woman that she has finally been chosen to replace Chief Guinot and that she already has a first lesson. According to Clotilde, she admits that Hortense had succeeded the day before.

Questioned by her mother, Kelly states that she no longer responds to either her father or Lionel because they are involved in things that do not concern them. Laëtitia reminds her of the reasons for her worries and points out her strange relationship with chief Lenglart. Confronted with his daughter’s anger, he plays the appeasement game.

Hortense’s mother is on the phone with her husband and insists that their daughter be absent from her birthday party. Hortense arrives and gives him the good news for the lessons.

Deva is skeptical of Hortense’s methods and does not understand where her explanations come from. After tasting the food prepared by the new teacher, Deva receives an explanation. All in front of Teyssier, who cautiously glided to the back of the room to observe Hortense.

Laëtitia has done some research and thinks her daughter’s idol is a narcissist. But she knows Kelly won’t listen to anyone close to her. She contacts Antoine to warn him.

Antoine approves exam schedules at Clotilde and Teyssier and discusses replacing Chief Guinot at the start of the next school year. To everyone’s surprise, Teyssier offers to entrust the position to Hortense if he’ll allow it until the exams are over.

Celebrating her birthday with her mother, sister and boyfriend, Hortense is surprised to see her father arrive. This angers his mother. She explains that she filed for divorce 3 months ago before she ran away.

Rose presented the first chapter of her book to Teyssier. However, he finds it terrifying and regrets that Auguste Armand’s portrait did not look like him and he would hate it. Rose defends herself, but sends her off, claiming that she didn’t know Chief Armand even though he was her father. Rose is stunned and on the verge of tears. Solal defends her and consoles her as best she can.

Vic and Hortense learn from their mother that they have met another young woman, whom their father is deeply in love with. They are in shock. They try to get rid of their feelings by cooking, but Hortense quickly gives up. She gets a message from her family asking to see her alone.

Antoine calls Kelly and questions him about his relationship with Chief Lenglart. Angered that her father and Lionel had gone to talk to her, the young woman turned away. Antoine reassures him that he has nothing to judge. But she warns him and gives him a list of signs that one person is under the influence of another. This bothers Kelly.

Kelly arrives just in time to work with the chef. But this last one shows the finger almost too late. She then talks to him about an interview she has to give and plans to present the young woman as her future assistant, She.

Shocked by her conflict with Teyssier, Rose interrupts her study session with Solal to go see Antoine. Axel finds his disappointed friend in the hallway. He tells her about the scene and confesses that he is in love with Rose. Axel advises her not to work with him anymore.

Hortense finds her family revealing themselves. They give him his birthday present: a chef’s jacket with the name of a famous Michelin-starred restaurant in Bordeaux. Thanks to his friendships with the Chief, they arranged for him a job interview in September to become the runner-up to the Chief.
