Clotilde confesses to Hortense that Teyssier does not want her to be a teacher at the institute. However, the latter interrupts them and announces to the young woman that she has finally been chosen to replace Chief Guinot and that she already has a first lesson. According to Clotilde, she admits that Hortense had succeeded the day before.

Questioned by her mother, Kelly states that she no longer responds to either her father or Lionel because they are involved in things that do not concern them.
