How did you transition from radio to television?
Dominique Tenza: Last spring, the channel’s news director, Stéphane Gendarme, came to RTL, which is now part of the M6 group. There I deliver the morning papers and he was looking for a boy to supplement Xavier de Moulins for the news. He said to me, “Don’t you want to try? I’ve never done television. I took a test that wasn’t very successful, but he must have thought that I could only improve. I started out as Xavier’s prankster. Then Kareen left to record her album in mid-December. Officially, I’ve been “borrowed” by RTL.
Kareen Guiock-Thuram is expected to resume in September. Where will you be in autumn?
Either I stay on the M6 or go back to the RTL. I don’t have insurance but it’s getting worse. If I could go on vacation this summer knowing what I was doing in September, I admit, it wouldn’t be a problem.
Xavier de Moulins writes books, Kareen Guiock-Thuram sings, Nathalie Renoux sews (Starts in France today counting 2)… And you?
I take care of my 5 and 7 year old girls because they rarely see me on the weekends. And I started fencing a year ago. Don’t worry, I’m not aiming for the Olympics.
19.45 every day on the M6
