Michel Cymes (Doctor and Veterinarian): "I approach the shoot with much less stress"

In this part, fauna and residents become victims of gas fumes from the lake. What is this phenomenon?

Michael Cymes: In volcanic soils, such as in the Auvergne, a fault, a landslide at the bottom of a lake, can cause a large increase in carbon dioxide. This is called a limnic eruption. There are also many legends about the lakes. The diversity of Auvergne nature offers the possibility of multiple scenarios.

There were some doubts about the possibility that the veterinarian you played, Pierre Josset, was the father of Emma (Dounia Coesens). How will their relationship develop?

Emma’s mother, Évelyne, abandoned her daughter as soon as she was born. It turned out that this woman had a short and intense love affair with Pierre. Emma will therefore ask the vet to do a DNA test. Therefore, in this section we will find out if Pierre is his father. Whatever the outcome, this search for paternity will turn their relationship upside down. There will be a big change in how the vet feels about Emma. This is a very important section.

What drew you to this series?

Ties are woven between a thoroughbred Parisian and a country man who wants to make this city dweller love the countryside. We also talk a lot about medicinal deserts. The veterinarian does everything to make the young female doctor feel good in this field. The vet has two concerns: leaving the villagers and leaving him alone.

What does Emma represent?

He is the archetypal country doctor. The young woman is far from everything, but she has to be able to do everything in her office or with the patient. An endangered species. It represents what the French want to have as a doctor.

How will your character develop?

Pierre, a recluse monopolized by his job, will pay more attention to his emotional life. He was fascinated by Emma’s love story with her mother. That’s why he was never able to complete his romantic encounters.

Do you think you are making progress in your work as an actor today?

The progress I can make is in relaxation. I approach the shoot with much less stress. This allowed me to win naturally, in everyone’s opinion. The blacksmith is said to be a blacksmith.

Do you have any other shooting projects?

I’m shooting the fifth episode of the series. Fourth in a box. But there are also two issues of The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body for France 2 about Adriana Karembeu. I think these will be the last because we will have addressed the question.

Have you ever tried to bring Adriana Karembeu, who is also an actress, as a guest on an episode?

I had asked the production team to have a little romantic adventure with him, but I was told it would be too evocative. Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body and that wouldn’t be believable! (laughs)
