Newly promoted to command, brilliant Norwegian-born inspector Annika Strandhed returns to her hometown of Glasgow to lead the Marine Crime Squad, where she is tasked with solving unexplained murders on the Scottish coast. His initial investigation concerns the death of a man who was pulled from the river. The victim was found with a harpoon stuck in his skull. The suspicions of the police soon fell on the victim’s cousin, Finlay Morris. But why would he kill the person he saw as his father?
France 5 launches Annika, a 6-part detective drama directed by British actress Nicola Walker, this Sunday evening. “In each episode, he relies on Greek mythology to solve the cases for which he is responsible, and therefore regularly quotes Agamemnon”, Actress Nicola Walker laughs, examining her last role as Commander Annika Strandhed.
