Amazon Freevee has announced that it will begin streaming big housea bilingual limited series that explores the everyday realities and conflicts between California migrant workers and the landowners who reap the profits.
Created by Lauren Swickard (A Californian Christmas) and Ali Afshar, big house follows the intertwined lives of several families in the fields of Northern California and is described as an “up/down story transposed from the turn-of-the-century English countryside to rural America.” The main role is played by John Pyper-Ferguson (The 100, Suits)Christina Moore (That 1970s show, 90210), Madison Lawlor (gin), Karen Bethzabe (Babylon)Javier Bolanos (All Americans), Raquel Dominguez (Chicago Med), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Kate Mansi (days of our lives), Daniel Edward Mora (coconut), Loren Escandon (The Baxters) and Ali Afshar (He’s just not that into you).
All five hour-long episodes of the English and Spanish limited series will premiere on Monday, May 1.
