The Pierre Palmade affair took a new turn on Monday. While he was under house arrest for wearing an electronic wristband at an addiction service, the Supreme Court finally placed him in pre-trial detention on a warrant. The actor and comedian, who is currently hospitalized in Villejuif after suffering a stroke on Saturday, charged with murder and unintentional injuries, will be transferred to Fresnes prison at an as yet unknown date.
While the decision of the Court of Appeal was welcomed by all who accused justice of indulging in this case, legal experts believe that the media disclosure of Pierre Palmade did not help him much. This is particularly the view of attorney Charles Consigny. on monday big mouths, The columnist for the RMC show therefore claimed: “Pierre Palmade is more a victim of his notoriety than of benefiting from it”.
“If he had been an ordinary citizen in this incident, such an investigation would not have been carried out, there would have been no electronic wristband and he would not have been imprisoned (…) because we would have wanted to wait to find out what the condition of this fetus was that died in the accident. So he would show up later at home quietly awaiting his trial. Media exposure hurts him.”thus confirmed shortly before the appeal court’s decision was rendered.
These words caused some of the show’s audience to be stunned, as the selection of tweets below demonstrates.

Notorious as a polydrug addict, alcoholic and repeat offender! It’s incredible these people and the media who come to his defense with any argument or shortcut and are radical when it comes to a lambda citizen. Otherwise any comments on Mimi Marchand? Videos ?

Are you saying that the average citizen, victim of his notoriety, would be detained, did you mean no? It is not possible to say such a thing with your job, you know very well that even with a perfect lawyer, it was going to jail directly.

” #palmado now a victim…
On the other hand, an ordinary citizen can use his “demons” to “try to understand”, the difficulty of addictions, etc.– Circle Aristotle (@Circle_Aristotle) February 27, 2023

You’re all on the set, I’d love to see you if your baby fell victim to this accident, I doubt you would say the same thing

Charles Consigny is not the only one to point out the relentlessness towards Pierre Palmade. “Many enjoy seeing him fall, but we still want to smash his face. For me, I’m really trying to protect myself from this hysterical society. Today I am a journalist, at school, at the Institute for Practical Journalism, I learned that my job is to get and redistribute information to the fairest.said Olivier Delacroix recently.
