John Cusack signs with APA

EXCLUSIVE: After less than half a year with Gersh, John Cusack signed with the APA to represent him.

The signing of the legendary actor, writer and producer continues the agency’s momentum under president Jim Osborne and head of global talent Andrew Rogers, who joined APA from ICM Partners following the acquisition of CAA. In the past month alone, APA has welcomed such notable talent as William H. Macy, Maria Bello and Donnie Yen Adult Star Trevor Jackson. Major signings for the second half of 2022 included Regina Hall, Ken Jeong, Nathalie Emmanuel, Mark Maron, Michael Rainey Jr., Russell Hornsby and Michael Cera.

Cusack is a Golden Globe, WGA and BAFTA nominee who has worked with a who’s who of directors over the course of nearly four decades, including Rob Reiner, Spike Lee, Cameron Crowe, James Mangold, Lee Daniels, Clint Eastwood, Spike Jonze, Woody Allen, David Cronenberg, Damien Chazelle, Stephen Frears, John Hughes, Terrence Malick and John Sayles, among others.

He received his WGA and BAFTA nominations for his contributions to the screenplay of Frears’ classic Very reliable, based on Nick Hornsby’s novel, with his Golden Globe nom in recognition of his starring role in the same film. His career has also seen him nominated for SAG and Independent Spirit Awards, among others.

Other notable film credits for the actor include say something, The Grifters, Bullets over Broadway, Great Pointe Blanche, with air, The thin red line, is John Malkovich, lucky shot, The change., identity, Run away jury, Must love dogs, 1408, 2012, The crow, The Newsboy, The Butler, Cards to the stars, Love & Mercy and Chi Raq.

Cusack has also produced titles including cell, Time machine for a hot tub, War, Inc. and Grace is gone, in which he plays a leading role, among other things. His recent work includes Gillian Flynn’s Prime Video series utopiaas well as the western never grow old and the action thriller follow. He will continue to be represented by Ziffren Brittenham LLC and Wolf Kasteler.
