‘Help’ and ‘The End Of The F***ing World’ Producer Jenny Frayn Joins BBC Drama Commissioning Team

EXCLUSIVE: help out and The end of the damn world Producer Jenny Frayn has temporarily joined the BBC drama commission team.

Deadline understands that Frayn recently signed on to work on certain existing titles and some upcoming titles, mostly from the list of Peaky Blinders Producer Tommy Bulfin is leaving soon.

She is a respected British drama producer who has produced a number of award-winning shows in recent years including help out – Jack Thorne’s Stephen Graham and Jodie Comer with Channel 4 drama about the Covid-19 crisis in care homes. The TV movie won two BAFTAs and the International Emmy Award for Outstanding TV Movie or Miniseries.

Frayn’s other credits include Escape from Channel 4/Netflix The end of the damn world and she also has experience working on BBC programs including The victim and that of Peter Bowker The A word.

She joins Lindsay Salt’s BBC drama department at a time of change. Former Netflix CEO Salt recently took over from Piers Wenger as drama director, and Wenger has joined A24. Other departures include Ben Irving, who joined for season five, Mona Qureshi, Manda Levin and Tom Lazenby. Deadline it announced in August The responder Joined by series producer Rebecca Ferguson.
